Superuser Permissions

Is there a way to manually add an application to superuser permissions? Are you not supposed to receive a prompt when starting an app that needs root access?

I'm on Fresh 1.1

I don't believe there is a way to add apps manually. Yes you are supposed to receive a prompt when opening a root app that has no permissions defined yet.

Thanks for the response. I ended up just going back to stock then rooting again. I couldn't get wifi tether to work and it wasn't prompting me for permission. Not sure if it had anything to do with me rooting while I was already rooted or what.

Anyway, now I'm rooted with Sprint stock and tethering is fine. I may flash a custom rom again when something new comes out.

Thanks again.

What limitations do I face being rooted on Sprint stock?

Some (common) limitations of rooted stock are: no wireless tether, no superuser whitelist, no adb remount support -- although if you can follow this xda post, it has a .zip update that can supposedly be flashed on top of rooted stock to add some of those functions.

Otherwise, not much difference.

You can wireless tether using the 1.7 pre. Just rooted earlier, installed it and its working.
