Re: using internet while on the phone
Ok Guys.....I am here to tell you that you ARE able to use the internet AND talk on the phone at the same time with SPRINT. I just couldn't handle the ad that AT&T boasts that they are the ONLY network that is able to do so. I even went into my local SPRINT store to inform them of this discovery and the store manager was completely blown away as well. So anyone else out there able to surf the web and be on the phone at the same time on SPRINT. I am anxious to hear your replies.

or youre just trying to stir up a sprint vs att fight for no reason, which is what i'm assuming because you provided no examples or evidence just a claim and btw, att never said they were the only ones just that they can and verizon can't, a tmobile phone in a 3G service area will do the same thing |

Oh, have you not heard? It was my understanding that everyone had heard...
A-well-a bird-bird-bird, b-bird's the word, A-well-a bird-bird-bird, b-bird's the word, A-well-a bird-bird-bird, b-bird's the word.... |

Re: using internet while on the phone
The 8350 is NOT a hybrid device, it's pure iDen. Powersourse was limited to the 402, 502, 602 and 902, and then they discontinued the line completely.
As for not being able to use voice and data simultaneously on Sprint or Verizon, this will NOT change, ever. Sorry. It's not a device issue, it's a backhaul issue, and Sprint/Verizon would have to change out their ENTIRE network to make this change. With 4G coming so soon, this simply will NOT happen. As for phones using a dual Wimax/CDMA connection, it's possible, but honestly not probable. The battery life on these devices would MAYBE last you 12 hours with minimal use. You'll start seeing phones that may support both formats, but one at a time, so you can travel nationwide while the 4G network is being built up. Now, for those who want to continue this and SWEAR they have data and voice at the same time on Sprint, please, shush... It's false. You may THINK you're the smartest person in the world who figured it out, but you're just an idiot who's running on Wifi and didn't notice. Or you may want to seem important and lie about it, but that's just pathetic. So take your pick... Liar, moron, or living with the fact that this won't happen on a US CDMA phone. |
