Notifications sound will listening to music...

Hey guys, when I am listening to music via HTC music player or any player (imeem, pandora, slacker etc) and a text message comes in it stops the music to play the text notice sound?!?!? I tried turning this off in the text message options to vibrate.. but it still happens. Any ideas? Thx.

i dont know if this will work or not but you can enable silent mode. in settings>sound & display. then all it should do is vibrate

This happens to me all the time. I'll be listening to some music in my car and bustin rhymes:

"1, 2, 3 and to the fo, Snoop doggy dogg and Dr. Dre is at the do...."

And I'll get a text from the gf reminding me to get milk on the way home. It completely ruins my image.

Yeah I hate that. I don't mind that It rings but don't stop my music! Why cant it ring and play simultaneously?

I think I tried the silent setting and it still stopped the music.

I've noticed that it only happens when you are using the headphone jack or bluetooth, I have been playing music (from the player) out of the phones speaker and it doesnt stop the music it just plays with it.

Thanks for the replies. Yep the same thing is happening with me... I turned it to silent and it still does the same thing (I used the volume rocker to put it into silent). I always listen to music via headphones and it is so disrupting.
