Any ways to use stock mms and raise the limit of the msg?

Max size is a 1mb and I'm getting kinda pissed off.. I'm coming from handcent and wanted to see if htc's messaging app will be any faster but this is just getting to me.

If there's any work around besides installing 3rd party app, please let me know.

Stock is faster. The limit is there bc most carriers only accept 1mb. If ur only sending to Sprint customers it wouldn't matter, but when sending to others you have to b under that limit.

Re: Any ways to use stock mms and raise the limit of the msg?

hey bud,

stock mms has problem sending files over 1mb in size or when in wifi mode.
Handcent automatically resizes the file to send but it's bit more laggy....
I'm trying to figure out a way to make this more then a 1mb... hopefully someone like modaco or flip can kinda fix this problem with their upcoming release.

I have issued sending simple sms messages to my roomate on her stock Hero. Have never been able to pull her up in contacts and send a message to her. It never goes through. However, if she texts me, I can reply. same number too.

Even though this is a thread jack I will address it haha jk jirafa. You probably have her number in as a Home or Work number in your contacts. In settings of handcent you have the option to select only mobile numbers, so if she doesn't have a mobile number in your contacts, you cant see her.

Yea, i was explaining the reason for the bar. If you get it raised people will be in a thread that is soon to be entitled I can't send MMS. Where the first post is I send and it goes through but others can't get it. I hope you can get it raised if you want, but if you don't you can resize pretty easily with picsay.

Is that why sometimes I get a mms (no matter the network) and it won't open? Just shows me a little play button thats clickable but doesnt do anything.

edit:I'm using handcent btw

Prob not the same problem, since sprints is the one that allows big files. Try it with stock, slideshows don't work w handcent it only shows first pic.
