Are Market notifications working for you?

Is anyone getting Android Market Notifications in the notification tray/drop-down when your installed apps are updated?

I have a CDMA Hero / rooted / stock ROM (1.56.651.2) and never get Market notifications, but if I open the Market and go to My Downloads, then I do see which apps have an update available. In Market my Notifications setting is set to "Notify me when items are updated".

Is this working for anyone with a Sprint Hero? Thanks.

I was never quite able to figure out if it's actually SUPPOSED to. I know if you go into "My Downloads" in the Market, it tells you. Could that be what the notification is referring to?

Either way, I usually check once a day anyway. It takes 2 seconds, but if anyone has it working in the notification tray, i'd love to know how you do it.

Re: Are Market notifications working for you?

The notifications tell you when it is updated. Meaning after you have installed the update. It doesn't tell you when one is available.

Re: Are Market notifications working for you?

No they don't work. They're supposed to show in the notification bar. Never worked for me on Stock or MR either...

Re: Are Market notifications working for you?

Not for me.

On a side note: Someone should develop an app to auto-upate. It seems like everytime I go to "my downloads" 10-12 apps need to be updated.

Re: Are Market notifications working for you?

notifications to update seem to work on tmobile and verizon's network for some reason but not sprint. It's not too bad having to check but with the amount of updates coming out it would be nice.
