Hack to increase upload/download speeds

Anybody try this hack out yet? Claims to significantly increase download and upload speeds by increasing the throughput on Android phones...

Re: Hack to increase upload/download speeds

Sounds great but would that work for our phones that sounds like gsm lingo lol. The changes they made were to the hsp-whatever-ma-gig which I believe is in reference to their 3g whereas ours is evdo which I is different, you know gsm tech vs cdma.

Some one with more tech knowledge please feel free to clarify/correct.

That is exactly correct. HSDPA (high speed downlink packet access) and variations of it are GSM only. These file would probably(I haven't checked) be present on our Heros, however they would serve no actual purpose since CDMA was basically hacked into the operating system.

Re: Hack to increase upload/download speeds

Before I posted, I googled info on 3g and cdma, couldn't come up with much, so figured I would post it. I misunderstood one site, which referrened to 3g being 3rd Generation, and something about evdo falling into that category. Wasnt sure. Oh well. Thanks for the clarification.

Re: Hack to increase upload/download speeds

You are in fact correct. 3g does stand for 3rd generation, and both EVDO (cdma) and HSDPA (gsm) fall into this category.
