Slow to wake

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but I don't remember this on the last Hero I had. When the phone is asleep and I press Menu or Power to wake it sometimes it can take a good while for the screen to come on. Other times it comes right up immediately. I had to hard reset recently after fooling around with things so I checked to see if it did it before any apps were installed and it did. Anyone else?
