Yes. The shield comes in separate pieces. One big piece for the back cover so you can take it off.

Another con i found.. the edges are collecting lint...

Re: Zagg Invisashield 50%off

Mine stopped collecting lint after a couple days.

They should really be selling these in pairs, or include more thorough instructions and strict warnings not to apply until you have read them. The full shield on my Hero was my 3rd time applying these things and I couldn't be more pleased with it, despite my initial experiences. I made sure to clean everything before I started and I set everything on a clean cutting board.

The cut is not perfect, I think they could easily do better fitting the sections to the device. Overall I am very satisfied with the look, feel and level of protection.

*especially at half price!

don't get me wrong... the protection is great... i just think, like you, they could have made the cuts to fit better.

Talking Re: Zagg Invisashield 50%off

Any suggests for a first time user of Invisashield, I recived my new hero but have not even opened the box waiting on the Invisashield to show up (don't want any chance of scratching before i can apply the Invisashield) so cleaning should not be an issue it should be spotless, may even go as far as putting on latex gloves to avoid oils from my figers getting on the devie below the Invisashield. other than that any application suggestions or know fitment issues requiring trimming?

thanks in advance!

Re: Zagg Invisashield 50%off

Wow, haven't even taken it out of the box! I can't imagine having that much self control. Take that thing out of the box already!

Forget the latex gloves. Wash your hands WELL and keep your fingertips wet with the solution they include. Even if its right out of the box wipe your phone down with a microfiber cloth set everything out on a CLEAN surface. Turn off any fans, ac, heat, anything that woupd circulate air. You shouldn't need to do any trimming, they're already slightly too small.

Apply the screen first. When the sticky side of the shield is wet you can move it around, a little. Start with a corner and align the edge to the edge of the screen leaving about 1mm between the edges of the glass and shield.

Apply the top and bottom strips first, then apply the long edge pieces. Take the battery cover off, line up the little Mic hole at the bottom and work up to the cutout for the camera.

Be careful not to drop any of the sections and keep them wet with the solution until they are on your phone!

Good luck!
