Is there an App..Task Switcher?

I'm looking for an option or app available to better switch from App to App. Today I was listening to Music, using Google Talk, and browsing on Dolphin and it was annoying to keep going back to the Home Screen and then the App Panel and find the app (I don't have the app shortcuts of these on my home screens). I thought it would be nicer that I just press the Home button, I can get a pop-up of my last few apps or running apps and just a Home option to go back to the main screen if I wish...This way it's just easier for any apps I may using at once.

Thanks, but I knew about that. It does work, but I guess I'm looking for something with maybe more options or at least eye-candy...

Re: Is there an App..Task Switcher?

I'm gonna be honest. Holding home as 2nd post says is exactly what you asked for. Long hold is 6 last apps and press goes to home.

Re: Is there an App..Task Switcher?

I think he wants it similar to the Winmo OS. I understand what he means , as I wanted to do so, but I unfortunately the method explained above is the only route at the moment

Yeah, I was looking for something more. But looks like I'll stick to what's available.

Re: Is there an App..Task Switcher?

there are several task managers on the market and a couple of them leave an icon in the notification area for quick access, but don't be surprised if they don't work on the hero, but you can try a few to see if any cooperate

does it mess with any functionality on the phone? i think we figured it was tasKiller that was screwing up text messaging so i've been without a task manager for about a month, it be nice to have one but not at the expense of stability
