8525 ZIP

I have a free 8525 due to all the connection problems I had with the 8125 even being on the PDA unlimited plan. Well, I'm sending the 8525 back, and just being credited on my bill. The 8525 is going back because zip files can't be opened, unsigned cabs within a zip file can't be opened, registry tweaks to make like Windows NT 5.1, hotmail and gmail comes up as mobile version instead of PC version. PC version on 8125 after same tweaks. If it wasn't for this, I'd keep the 8525 with its rapid 3G data, 400MHz processor.

8525

There is a ''pocket rar'' program that you can download. It will allow you to open all zipped files on your 8525. On XDA-Developers.com, there are cooked WM6 roms that have this program built in. Check m out, there under the Hermes section in the forums.

You can do more to the 8525 than you could dream of on the 8125...
