Unlocking the Extended ROM
My friend has a Cingular 8525. I have an XV6700. I beamed him the files to unlock the ROM and make it visible (APA_ext_rom_unlock.exe and unlock ext rom wizard.exe), but after installing and a soft reset, the extended Rom isn't there. Will the files form the Apache work on the Hermes? Are there files for the Hermes to unlock?

Apache and Hermes are different devices, and different carriers to boot, so I wouldn't attemp loading Apache files on the Hermes. What files are you talking about?
