DOH! So embarrassed I forgot about the "All settings"
. So the option is definitely in there, it's just greyed out so I can't select the "Flash light for x minutes" option. I know there's a way to unhide it and I did it a long time ago with my Diamond but now I can't find it..
EDIT: So it seems that the only item you can select the amount of time to flash the LED is for "MediaUploader". So obviously it should be possible to do for other events like message, missed call etc, we just need to find it.
