If you have a SIM card that says "3G", then it won't work on a Non-3G device, but you could try the SIM cards for Non-3G PDAs as they should work better on their data network, and I dunno if that's guaranteed but sounds like it's worth a shot.

has anyone had luck with this yet? My dad's unlocked dash is in the mail now and i want to make sure i know exactly what to do when i get the phone in my hands.
