PC won't recognize my SD Card?

My old Evo 4G, rooted with stock Sprint ROM, was able to identify my 16 GB PNY SD card when I plugged the Evo into the USB port of the PC. I was able to use the Evo to access the SD card as a harddrive.

I have a new refurbished Evo, rooted again with stock Sprint ROM, which will not recognize it as an HD, otherwise the SD is readable by the Evo.

Updating the radio fixes this issue. Are you rooted?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.5; en-us; PC36100 Build/GRJ90) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

I'm rooted, yes. Very new to rooting. Any tips on how to update radios before I start a long and winding search? I'm using Sprint's stock ROM.

You should put the radio zip on the root of your sd and flash from bootloader.

What method did you use to root?

Your goal will be to downgrade to Froyo, then flash back to gingerbread. to get to Froyo you'll have to downgrade your hboot. Let downgrading the hboot be your guide.
