Google Maps Update Problem

My friend's Evo tried to update Google Maps to 5.6.2 and it stopped at 34%. I rebooted the phone and manually started the update and it finished and installed the update. But in the notification drawer it still shows Google Maps update 34%. In the Market it shows that the program is update and in About in Maps it shows the updated 5.6.2 version.

Any idea why its still showing 34% and how can I make it go away?
