Re: Rooting Gingerbread
Unfortunately there is no solution at the moment. Hopefully unrevoked will update the root method based on the latest hboot soon or someone else will come up with another method.

Re: Rooting Gingerbread
Regress to Froyo, root and then install the RUU version of the rooted Gingerbread. There is even a rooted version of the update.

Re: Rooting Gingerbread
By flashing the pc36img.zip if you're rooted that is. Put the zip on your card. Reboot into bootloader (power+vol.down) and follow the phone prompts.
You can find froyo stock here: Supersonic Shipped ROMs - xda-developers |

Re: Rooting Gingerbread
Run teh HTC stock RUU. It is an execuatable you run from your PC. There may be a copy up at HTC.COM If not, go ovet to XDA and search for a forum labelled "All stock Roms" or words to that effect.
You can't flash an image for several reasons. First, you can't place it in your root since you ain't. Second, you cannot run a non-signed image since your sig checker is still on. So, roll back to Froyo (or before) and then run UnRevoked. |

Re: Rooting Gingerbread
funny, you can't roll back to froyo cuz the hboot you have is a newer version. the only way this can be done is if you are rooted with s-off, which means you now have 2.3.3 rooted. if you weren't rooted before update with s-off, you're stuck. If you had s-off, a nand restore would take you back to froyo if you were smart enough to do a backup before doing update. This flashing a 2.2 stock rom only works IF YOU"RE ALREADY ROOTED
