Re: Who ordered there Evo 3d ?
Friend of mine is a manager and I got to handle it for about 30 mins yesterday.
All in all, Im not impressed. The 3D is gonna get on people nerves after awhile. Its looks great, cant even deny that. I played the Spiderman game on it and after a couple mins I had to shut it off from eye strain. I did run into a bug in that after playing Spiderman the screen wouldnt change back to normal. I was at the home screen and it was still giving the 3D effect to the home screen and it it was annoying. After a minute or so I found that I could go into the drop down menu and shut off Spiderman through the task manager. The pixs in 3D were pretty cool but unless I send them to someone that can see 3D or someone looks at them on my phone, not real handy.
As far as the screen goes, to me all I have to do is turn up my brightness a little to make it look better so even though the qHD is suppose to be better, I didnt see it. The camera does have better optics in it. I was trying to take a picture in the store and with the sunlight coming in, the camera on the 3D was adjusting to the sun light. I tried the same with my Evo and it didnt adjust for the sun light so Im wondering what else is in the camera besides the 3D.
The form factor of is better and fits in my hand better. For a phone that has the same screen it doesnt feel the same. Slimmer and not as wide is a good thing.
IDK, for me the better camera and CPU upgrade isnt enough for me to change phones. I was kinda excited about seeing the 3D but after yesterday not so much. I guess to each his own, but what I think is gonna happen and my friend agreed is a lot of people are gonna be pissed of in a couple weeks when the fad of 3d wears off and people are upset that they upgraded to something that really is just that upgrades not a new phone. Now they will be stuck in a two year contract and wont be able to upgrade to something that is truly a new phone.
