I was told by Sprint (in the store) the Evo 4g doesn't have gorilla glass. I called HTC and asked them and the tech guy said he didn't thinks so and hasn't heard anything about gorilla glass. The corning website says the Evo 4g does. Go figure....

Re: All HTC phones have Gorilla Glass!!!

ok so i refurb phones for a living, i have seen the worst things people do to there phones. the way i read cornings site is that there is a gorilla glass digitizer on the market somewhere, no where dose it state that it is built with it. That being said if you want gorilla glass for your evo contact corning and find out where to buy it.... oh yea then you have to know how to change it with out destroying your phone, so good luck or buy a different phone

EDIT: Gorilla Glass is not indestructible

Haha! Gorilla glass 2 is out!

Taken from the corning website...

TOUGH JUST GOT BETTER New Corning® Gorilla® Glass 2 The damage resistance you demand, at a thinness that will astound you.

Corning Gorilla Glass 2 is as tough and scratch resistant as ever to withstand the unexpected abuses of everyday life. But now it's thinner, enabling slimmer and sleeker devices, brighter images, and greater touch sensitivity. Look for it on the world's coolest smartphones, tablets, and PCs.
