Do the asurion evos come with the sticker over one of the screws?

I may need to file a claim in the near future, and was curious if the refurbs (which I'm assuming I'll get a refurb) come with that sticker over one of the 6 screws that holds the front and back frame together? I'm sure one of us on this forum has a refurb...because that would mean Sprint stores wouldn't work on it, since it looks like it's been "opened".

one of my refurbs (white evo) didn't have a sticker but my brother's refurb (black evo) did.

I don't think it really matters. I've taken phones in that I have opened up and removed the white thing. Get a good exacto knife and make sure u don't leave any of it in there and it shouldn't be a problem.

I haven't seen a major issue with white stickers and evo. Sprint techs don't really replace them after service and repair. So if you are worrying about it, don't.

I just got a new phone hell I dont know if it's refurb or not, cause the thing comes in the original package like if u buying it from the store & it looks spanking new

I can say that there is a very high number of evo users with reconditioned devices. My personal thought on the matter is as long as it looks new, performs new and can take a new wiping and flashing then it's new.

I had an 'in-store" replacement in Gilbert, AZ and it came in what appeared to be a "new" box, complete with a picture of an HTC EVO on it and writing on the sides. I Never actually touched the box, as they removed it from the box and handed me the phone. The box was not the same box that you would purchase it in, and did not have any room at all for manuals, cables, or chargers. There was no battery cover in it, the rep placed my SEIDIO battery cover and battery in it. (He also tried to tell me that those items void my warrenty, which I told him that it can not void my warranty, but I guess it was not an issue because he replaced the phone?)

I asked the in-store rep about it, and he stated that the "Refurbs" are completely new, except for the motherboard inside According to him, the outside case, glass, and all other parts were brand new.
