VoiceMail Notfiications are iffy/randon with Froyo.

EVO on BoostMobile

Issue:
With Froyo: my VoiceMail Notifications are "IFFY" at Best

BUT

With GingerBread: VMs notifications work like a CHARM!!! PERFECT!!

Does anyone know why or how to fix this?

(I know.. just GB... but my phone has the screen brightness issue and I prefer the sense roms(and netflix works on Froyo not GB(sense))

And I do use the VoiceMail notifiers apps from the Market.
