I want it to ring normal when headset is in, any ideas?
I don't like to wear the headset 24/7 but plugging it in when the phone does ring isn't anymore safe. If I just leave it plugged in I can't hear the ring unless I've got the headset on.

What kind of headset are you using?
I use a wired headset with a microphone and plugged in or not the ringer still rings unless I have it set to silent mode.

It's a wired headset with a mic. Looks like a tech support headset. The phone makes no sound cept through the ear piece of the headset when it's plugged in. media, ringing, ect

What ROM?
And if there's anything in particular that you can think of that may help you should list that as well. Like what hqve you tried? Was this a problem with any other ROM you may have tried. Etc.

Like others said, unless you provide accurate information you're not going to get good advice.

I can tell you that CM7 and Decks Gingerbread roms have an "advanced" feature that allows you to set ringer, alerts and notification sounds through the speaker with a headset plugged in.
