VNC says my ip is 192.168.1.150

ip chicken says my ip is 173.18.191.250

Also i took my ip from dynamic to static

I activated RD on my computer, i Created a username and Password.

i have tried every combination and it just times out.
I repeat..192.168.x.x is LOCAL IP..use this IP only if you want to connect via WIFI..if you plan to connect via WIFI..if you plan to connect remotely..thats not the IP....

You need to port forward 173.18.191.250:3389 -> 192.168.1.248:3389 ..assuming 173.18.191.250 is your remote IP...and 192.168.1.248 is your local ip..

You will also need a static remote IP/hostname as if it changes you will not be bale to connect..

Domain is not important as chances are you are not enrolled in one..

Re: Remote Desktop Help

OH MY GOOOOOOOOODDDDNESSS!!!! I GOT IT WORKING!!

OK so going forward if anyone has issues this is what you need to do for an easy way to do it.

SO

When you get RDP on your phone, that is the easy part lol, what you have to do is i installed VNC a free service and it seemed to change anything that needed to be changed and offer the service even tho i have XP Pro.

Then WITHOUT A DOUBT you need to go to your system properties and add yourself as a user on the Remote desktop and enable it.

Then you need to go into your router and configure the router to accept the port that you are trying to access remotely.

Then after you log into your router go to the port forwarding tab.......
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART THAT I COULDNT FIGURE OUT!!
When you are setting up what ip and port to forward YOU MUST PUT THE IP FROM THE COMPUTER THAT YOUR ROUTER THINKS IT IS!! SO RUN>CMD>IPCONFIG <<<<<<THIS IS WHAT YOU MUST PUT IN FOR THE ROUTER TO FORWARD!! My router wanted to default to 250 and my actual was 100 so this was huge.

as soon as i got all of that in it connected NO PROBLEM!!!!

IF ANYONE HAS ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE PM ME AND I'LL GET BACK TO YOU. THIS WAS SO FRUSTRATING FOR ME!!! THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT HELPED!!! ESP Gten!!!!
