Cant flash new radio or PRI

I am coming from the old fresh-0.2 ROM which was one of his early releases so I thought it was time for an upgrade. I went and downloaded everything that i needed which was the new 3.5.0.1 fresh rom and the new radio and PRI zips, put them into the root of my SDcard and installed the fresh ROM with absolutely 0 problems. Then when I try to flash the others it will run a couple lines and then go back to the main recovery screen... I can not seem to do anything to get them to properly flash. I am full rooted by toasts method with full write access etc... is there something I am missing or am I just being a complete nub?

thats how is suppose to happend, you need flash radio than reboot, than go back to recovery and flash pri than reboot

just dont get impatient while its rebooting and go and pull the battery while the radio is updating because you think its stuck. I'm pretty sure that will brick the phone.
