Forget Gingerbread. Forget Honeycomb. When are we getting the Ice Cream Sandwich?
Google rolls out Android 3.1; next version will run on phones, tablet - Computerworld

From what I have read, this is to be the OS to rule them all.

Well if they stay committed to the 18 month cycle..and Google choose to release Ice Cream same time as Gingerbread on Dec 6th...you'd be 2 days out of commitment which ends Dec 4th >.> lol..if they did that it would be really sad...

Ice Cream would be nice, but as long as Gingerbread is taking we'll all be using a different phone before we ever see it.

Sorry to say everyone, but he is right. If this was true, why even make new handsets? Something to really think about.
