Re: HTC Sync Error, on Win7 64bit..
I know you said all drivers were installed , but check to make sure HTC modem driver is installed and put ur phone on disk drive not HTC sync. Maybe I'm mistaking I was thinking about using QPST.

Re: HTC Sync Error, on Win7 64bit..
I've never had to do that with the 15+ phones I've rooted before though, kinda weird.. I do appreciate the idea but I don't think that will fix it, I will look into it though.. I just bought my computer like 4 days ago so maybe it's just not broken in yet lol..!!
No but seriously, anyone else experience this issue before..? |

Re: HTC Sync Error, on Win7 64bit..
First, make sure you're running the newest version of HTC Sync 3.0.5511 for the Evo from here: HTC Mobile Phone Support - HTC EVO.
Leave your phone in disk drive mode when you first connect to be sure you can see your SD card on your computer. That takes a minute or two on my computer, and the Sync error message you showed will probably pop up too. If that works, while still connected, switch the phone to HTC Sync and in another 30 seconds to a minute, HTC Sync should pop up. Correction: Link to newest version 3.0.5517 here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-evo-4g...-0-5517-a.html Last edited by JimSmith94; 05-07-2011 at 11:43 PM. Reason: Found newer version |

Re: HTC Sync Error, on Win7 64bit..
Thanks guys... Tried a slough of different things and still get the error... Oh well, I got the phone rooted anyhow so I guess this isn't that important since I use google to sync everything.
