HTC EVO gives out location via text, How to Turn off?
Why is my EVO 4G giving out my location to people when i text them... It did this to a friend of mine who has an iphone 3G/3GS. They knew my location when i texted them. I was using Handcent SMS and my GPS location was on. If i turn the GPS location off by unchecking the "Use GPS satellites" option will it not send my location then? or is there something else is have to do? There was no option under the Handcent SMS program.

Handcent has and app that gives out that information.. I think it is called text location or something.. Maybe delete the one you have and download regular handcent sms... Hopes this helps..
