texting..
i cant see myself holding my phone sideways,so when i text with the phone upright i make tons of errors and theres always periods in the middle of sentences and it drives me fucking nuts.
i wish the evo3d had a slideout..
any advice?

Have you tried other keyboards? Definitely a learning curve but it gets easier over time.

Have you tried the Gingerbread keyboard? It cut down on my "portrait mode" texting errors quite a bit!

i had evo since day one.
was into swype for a minute.
think i tried basically everything.
the only the that really urks me about this great piece of technology.

Theres a ton of different keyboards on the market....I've just been happy with swype so I never tried any of them...sorry I can't be of more help bro...

say what? the F word wasn't censored? anyway um maybe try to enable word corrections and what not and try typing slower. I made a few errors on my tp2 screen keyboard and its the same as the stock evo one. that's really all one can tell u as to how to improve typing accuracy.

I type faster on the screen than I did on my TP2.
@OP I know you can't see yourself holding the phone sideways... I would suggest you give it a shot. It's night and day.

Seriously... Just type out fast and naturally... It will take it a few days to learn the words you use that may not be in the dictionary like CUZ or Thanx... But once you tell it that it's a word... It won't question you.
I type Spanish words without getting hung up now.
It's a big screen... And it does a good job sideways... Vertically... works ok for one finger hunt and peck... Otherwise it blows.
