You can with handcent free app in the market. I dont think you can with stock message app

What jrz said. It seems the default messaging app does not have copy and paste. But Handcent does, you can copy the message, then drop it in a notes app, or email.....

i think u cani remember doin it. right now im using a gingerbread aosp rom. but i remember time ago when i was using stocl rom i could copy n paste. just hold ur finger on the ttxt u wnna copy n a pop out will show n ull see the copy thng .. if not then i might b wrong

I cant copy sent out received messages, but if I forward a message, I can copy the text that way.
