Unrooted Downloaded Gingerbread leak now what?

Forgive me if there is an answer to this question posted. I've been searching the threads and googling and haven't found anything.

I downloaded the Gingerbread leak, but I am not rooted. How do I get this rom on my phone. From what I read, the leak is a rom dump. I have no idea what to do with it, please help.

you need to be rooted to flash it

Thanks, I was hoping there was a way to get it without rooting. Maybe I'll take the plunge.

Doesnt it potentially unroot you since its a carrier leak?

tt531, I saw your question on the other thread and it looks like you mixed up some information. To download any of the leaked or cooked ROMs you have to be rooted. When guys were saying that the OTA GingerBread will unroot your phone they were referring to the Sprint Official update being pushed to a phone that was previously rooted, so the advice to those who were already rooted was to not accept the over the air update. Hope this answers your questions.
