Re: Battery problem and now I need to return it to sprint....
If you can't get power to the phone, there is no way to unroot. If the phone will not boot, even when connected to a charger, you won't be able to unroot the phone. But they will not be able to see that it was rooted, either.
Like they say in Jersey, "Don't worry 'bout it"

I might pop a new battery in it and power it up. Edit: they might pop in a new Batt...

If you let the battery die all the way, it's probably just undercharged. They can boost it on their cadex machine. However, battery issues can be software related, so they will check root.

If you have a tp2 or a hero, charge it through that. Same battery
Cooler than your EVO

Or if a friend has a Hero a TP2 or an EVO... Borrow their battery if yours won't charge.

Or... You can buy a replacement battery... Unroot... Then return the battery.

Re: Battery problem and now I need to return it to sprint....
should be able to buy extended battery at a sprint store. You have a 30 day return/exchange period so you can use it to get done what you need to.
