Battery problem and now I need to return it to sprint....

You could find a friend who knows someone who has a friend who once had a touch pro 2 or hero, charge that battery, return it to sprint, get an extended battery, trade that for the touch pro 2, unroot that, take it to sprint, exchange the evo, charge the battery, and trade it for a friend.
