after unrevoked3, black screen and vibrates 5 times

Please help, been at this for 6 hours straigt.

I have hardware003 phone with hboot 2.10.001, radio 2.15.00.11.19 stock sprint rom froyo.

i tried to root with unrevoked3 (should I not have with my hardware?).

I installed htc sync and then uninstalled. I installed windows drivers doing the hboot usb plug thing. I plugged in my phone and then ran unrevoked. Everything looks fine and then it said it was done and then I was at the clockword mod revoery page on my phone. So i unplugged the phone (i didnt want to flash a custom rom, just unroot) pulled out battery and then went back to hboot. I noticed I was still s-ON.

I turn off and on phone. Everything boots up but about 30 seconds after Android is loaded the screen goes black, it vibrates 5 times and led blinks but screen never turns back on again.

I have tried to find various PC36IMG.zip to apply via SDcard after clearing storage. The first put back at android 2.1 and did not do the black screen/vibrate. But when i connect to PC it keeps asking for CDMA MSM drivers and so could not run activesync or RUU to update.

then i downloaded RUU sprint3.70xxxxxsigned.exe and extracted rom.zip. I renamed it PC36IMG.zip and transferred to SD card and went to hboot to install it.

First reboot gets black screen/vibrate. Second reboot made it to screen unlock then blackscreen/vibrate. third reboot loads android all the way but after about 30 seconds, black screen vibrate. Now it keeps doing that.

I just want to go back stock unrooted froyo ROM.

What is it you are trying to do?

Look, I had to run UnRevoked 3 times before it worked. I would try it again. It that does not work, I would go the ADB route. Look around and you will find some video on the long-hand way of rooting. At this point, you probably have a better chance of obtaing a clean rooted phone than a stock one.

i can't reroot, because when i plug my phone in windows ask for CDMA MSM drivers which it didnt do before and dont know what drivers they want

you said you uninstalled htc sync, maybe you uninstalled the drivers from unrevoked site also somehow, if i was you i would go back and download the drivers and reinstall them and then put htc sync back on the computer and try it all again, try rebooting your computer also and clear your caches and all that fun stuff on the computer and like IKILLEN said then try to rerun unrevoked as it doesn't always work the first time.

I have tried all of that. I must have installed and uninstalled htc syn like 5 times. I tried the hboot usb plug thing again and the android listing is already their in device manager. But everytime i plug the phone into usb when i am not in hboot usb plug mode, the computer shows a new hardware window and is looking for drivers for cdma technology MSM which i canot find anything to work with to install the drivers.

Since I am at S-on, i took the phone to sprint and they have "fixed" the problem. They didnt tell me what it was but they have it back at sprint stock froyo.

After going through all of this, I am not sure if I want to try to root again. Really just want to tether without doing z4root everytime.

Did i even use the right root method for my hardware?

dont need to unlock nand if i just want to tether
