Streaming Audio On While Screen Locked/Off

Ok i know i saw it somewhere but couldn't find it so don't blast me to much

so how do you keep audio on with screen off
when streaming radio time or Pandora etc etc

and from i remember this worked before 3.70

just hit power button. and the screen will turn off. but you should still have audio. i do it all the time.

I have no problems with streaming with the screen off...
The only time I do is when I forget to disable Juice Defender and on battery power.
Are you running Juice Defender by chance?

I'm new to Android and didn't want to screw things up on a new phone.
Once I upgrade... I will root the EVO and see what I've been missing.

Not sure what else could be causing you not to be able to stream... Do you run any other battery management program?

The only thing you'll be missing if you don't root is the ability to run custom roms. Even then, custom roms have thier own set of issues, so to be honest, you won't be missing much.

OP, try backing up contacts, pics, vids, etc., and do a full wipe. That might fix your problem.

I'm running Myns Rls 5 and have no issues with listening to music with the screen off, I would guess that it's the rom or a piece of software you installed that's keeping yours from doing it, maybe even the kernel you're using?

Every rom I've used so far (cyanogenmod 6 and 7, myns rls 2-5, every version of fresh rom, omj, calkulins, omgb, baked snack, all stock roms since 2.1, and various virus roms) have worked just fine streaming Pandora, slacker radio, gooveshark, and audiogalaxy with the screen off.

Also, instead of claiming the VIPs suck, you could have, you know, tried something. I guess its easier to bitch, though, so have fun with that.
