Streaming Audio On While Screen Locked/Off

I was having trouble with one of my apps that streams music, it kept cutting out, and not only that but I would have to press the play button every time it cut out. Not very convenient when you are mowing the lawn or jogging. That might be what is happening to you....but otherwise I've always had the ability to run streaming audio or my local music without issue using strictly OMJ ROMs. BTW, I decided to start using tunein radio, that seems to be working great now, it cuts out every now and again but then resets without having to do anything. Love it.
