Replaced my Evo - Now I'm lost

Hello all geeks, I need help, PLEASE well kinda. I had to replace my Evo due to bad data port. Well my contacts synced but nothing else. I had App Brain and thought I was good, well not. I have found and downloaded most of my apps. I am having an issue with a few thing and hope for advise.

1) In the future what do I need to do to prevent a total loss of info, I came from WM so I just had a program that did everything on a restore.

2) I DL'd Google Voice, I have had a goog number before, but Google Voice wants to use my Sprint number, how do I get it to use my old Google number?

Thanks in advance

If the apps you "found" were free, appbrain will be able to restore them, however if they were not free than you have to "find" them again. Newer versions perhaps

GV uses GV number for outgoing calls placed through GV. Incoming calls placed to your GV number will be forwarded to your Sprint number, or whatever other nuber(s) you pick in GV confiuration on PC.
Hope it helps

Re: Replaced my Evo - Now I'm lost

I use Android Mate and MyBackup Pro as well. Android Mate is for puting all your downloads and market items back on and MyBackup Pro for contacts, emails, text messages and everything else.
