Possible to "unroot" after water damage?

Well my phone dropped in the water and it is rooted and now it wont turn on, is there anyway to unroot it before I turn it back to sprint for I dont void my warranty?

If you can't run it, you can't unrrot it. Look, they can't run it either! Just to make sure, drop it in salted water and let it dry they tell them it took a dip in the crapper that had a war-load. They will hand you a bag and ask you to put it in there.

If it has gotten wet you can't do anything with sprint. Water damage is only covered by asurion so you can go to Sprint Total Equipment Protection and file a claim then you will have a new phone within a couple days.

Except that as of last week and continuing today, Assurion and Sprint are out of phones! I have a claim in for a replacement EVO and have been told that it could be 8 more days before they ship.

I am kicking myself for selling my Hero...at least I could have used it as a backup...
