Reflash back to stock and unroot. If the problem still persists, take it to Sprint. Sounds like the digitizer may be going out.

I had the same issue a few months ago, I had to go to Sprint & get the screen replaced
free of charge with insurance |

Mine just did same thing. But because I just dropped it (with sprint white case on) and piece on corner of case broke off and was wedged inbetween screen and body. Saw my babies insides :'( gotta take her to store. Anyone know if they're still offering free fixes with insurance?

Bastards! Damn sprint! Lol yeah they told me I'd have to file claim. I know what messed it up. They claimed I had water in screen area. What kinda bull is that?

If there is a crack longer than 1" in the screen they may tell you that an insurance claim is required.

The screen is chipped on bottom left corner. That's how piece of the white case, sold in sprint stores, was wedged in between screen and housing only bout 1 to 2 mm. I wanted to have power button crack fixed also. But they said we can't do that here. File a claim.
