4g wifi tethering on wireless tether app

i have been trying to get my 4g to work via the wireless tether app, but it is a no go. i have no problems connecting to 3g as ok speeds 25kb, but as soon as i activate 4g it zeros out and just gives bursts of speed that last a millisec and are only 9kb max. what could be causing this...i have changed roms from sprint lovers to ava-froyo to myn and back but none seem to work.

4g will not work on wireless tether many have tried.

4g works with wireless tether, it doesn't work with the hacked sprint hotspot. It should work fine, are you sure your 4g works where you are at?? If you do a speedtest from your phone untethered do you get good results?

Hotspot works with my 4g. Wireless tether (the app) works if all else fails

i get good speeds on 4g within the phone (untethered). but when i try to tether in 4g i do not get a connection. I take that back, the only websites that i am able to go on is google and cnn and i can only use the search feature. If i try to click on a link there is no connection.

I have tried everything to get this working. Changed my rom at least 6 times, wiping after each

. and tried all builds of wireless tether with no luck, i even tried barnacle wifi and nothing!

This has bugged me because everywhere i see on forums, people have 4g on the tether. there is no reason why it shouldn't work for my evo.

I am done changing roms for the simple pleasure of 4g tethering, until of course i find out it will allow me to tether with 4g, then switching the roms i will.

I'm on stock rooted rom 4g wifi tether hack works on the latest one on me it did but did cap my speeds thoe but I do use the sprint hotspot I pay for it better for me and full speeds but on the hack I did notice that it goes out couple of times

I didn't root via unrevoked, could that be why I have full speeds?

what did you root with? and could that really make an impact? i thought rooting was just to unlock phone.

What app are you guys using for Wifi Tether? I have 2 different Wifi Tethering Apps both don't give me any connectivity, one works but doesn't show up on any of my devices and one keep saying I'm not rooted. but I know i am rooted..

well...i use the wireless tether that came with the sprint lovers rom...i set my phone to 4g and use wireless tether all day at work....works great...not sure why your won't...i know the sprint hotspot app doesn't work with 4g...only 3g..unless you are a subscriber
