4G Issues, Help needed

Hello,

I live in San Francisco and can anyone else living here let me know if your 4G is working?

I do have the phone rooted and the last thing i installed was setcpu, I'm trying to find out that if that broke my 4g.

Thanks!

Re: 4G Issues, Help needed

download rsa key checker from the market and see if you rsa keys are in tact. If they are post back and we'll look at the next possible problem. If they are not in tact then your 4g is permanently screwed and you will have to return your phone to sprint for a replacement.

Do what cruise said. If your keys are gone your only hope is if you made a nandroid back up, to include the WiMax partition, using Amon-Ra recovery before the radios were flashed. Otherwise you're SOL and will have to kill the root and return to Sprint for a replacement. Been there, done that.

Re: 4G Issues, Help needed

There's actually a complex guide posted on XDA that details how to restore your WiMAX RSA key by converting your WiMAC address to hexadecimal, or something like that.

Re: 4G Issues, Help needed

it says the key is present. I did check another city and it's working there, I wanted to find out if it was down in parts of SF.

I guess best bets are to just check the coverage maps for the nearest towers and try to be outdoors when using it?
WiMax penetration is QUITE horrible, I don't get past a single bar indoors unless I'm near a window.
