Re: Hot Spot Wifi router speeds
Yes it is, unless you do the old wireless n hack. It's still probably floating around somewhere. Now, if your max internet speed is less than 10Mbs than why is 54Mbs network speeds sufficient for you?

Re: Hot Spot Wifi router speeds
That has nothing to do with 54mbps being insufficient...it more has to do with wireless tethering having some issue transferring 4g speeds...I was able to achieve 950 KB/s on 11mb/s adhoc connection on my epic with a little workaround...( we have same issue on our phones :/ )

Re: Hot Spot Wifi router speeds
I am glad someone has readdressed this via this thread. I mentioned this issue months ago and some people said they were actually getting true 4G speeds through wireless tethering. I have never gotten anywhere past 950KB/s either using wireless tethering, but when using a wired/usb tether with Easy Tether, while in 4G mode, it works great. The problem with this is that, I used a notebook issued from work very often on a mobile basis and they have it restricted where I am unable to use the usb tethering but of course I can use a wireless tether as it thinks it is any normal wireless spot. I would love to know if anyone actually knows of a fix or workaround for this. I could really use it in my field work .

Re: Hot Spot Wifi router speeds
950? I get 25-30 on 3G, 4G or any other connection I use with the hotspot.

Re: Hot Spot Wifi router speeds
Its a REALLY messy workaround...I want to see if I can actually make it more straight forward then what it is now :/
