Which is better ClockWorkMod or Amon_RA?

I just wanted to know what peoples thought's or opinions on which recovery is better? Is there a plus or minus for either version? Or do they both do the same thing!?

I personally like Amon Ra because it is compatible with most if not all roms. I also found clockmod to be too complicated to flash initially so thats why I chose Amon in the beginning. Since then, I found no reason to switch,

Ra! CWM is good but as aman just stated, compatibility is the key.

I prefer CWM. Never had the issues other have had. Amon I was never able to browse folders on the sd card to flash, kind of annoying if you just downloaded a rom over 4g to the download folder.

I'm using Myn's rom and in order to use his updater rom app I have to use Amon Ra to do the update (Rom Manager free) so that cause me to switch but not knowing about compatibility issue...I did it because it was easier to update his rom!

I like RA cuz it correctly partitions sd cards for app2sd and it has more features
but haven't tried clockworks sense the new builds

I'm a recent convert to Amon Ra. Plus the WiMax backup is great.

Speaking from experience, I had no problems with Amon_RA. I did have a bunch of failed backups using ClockWorkMod.

New to Android and CWM is the 1st I've used. Never had any issues that I know of so never tried Amon.

Good to know the other options it has over CWM. Maybe I will try but haven't had a need to do anything else to my Evo yet.

They both do the same thing. Kind of. They both do nandroid and flash and some other things that you may need like a wipe. Amon_RA does all those things better. Except for one thing which someone mentioned which was folder browsing. Amon has been around for a long time and make the best recoveries. No questions. CWM has a problem with A2SD2, it can't correctly wipe the ext2 and couldn't partition sd cards when I tried it. Either way, go Amon.

Do yourself a favor get Amon RA, for all the above mentioned reasons, plus, 5 interwebanderdroid points for doing it.
