If they are going to take your old phone, you should runn an RUU (doesnt matter which one), and the unrevoked S-ON tool.
I know they did not say anything up until now, but when you return to the store, another employee might have a vengeance against rooted phones. (or in the case of my touch pro 2, a scratch on the battery case! According to the repair center in Palmdale, Ca, this invalidates your TEP and your factory warranty!)
