Question Picture messaging from 9000

I have an HTC EVO on Sprint and whenever I get a picture message, it comes from a phone number 9000, and to open the picture, it sends me to a website. Is there a way for pictures to be in the message, and not send me to a website?

Could be said persons carrier that is sending it that way...Does this happen from different people on different networks or just the person sending you the photos? I know back when I had Verizon Wireless I would give me a link to a website with the picture...Could also be the way the other persons phone send the file.

It doesn't matter who sends me the picture, I always get a message that reads "9000: New picture mail from #########!"

are you running a custom rom? Is it possible that you have a custom rom that is not set up correctly for your provider?

Re: Picture messaging from 9000

I have heard of this problem before, but I always thought it was strictly a Blackberry issue. Have you ever had a blackberry? Just a thought like maybe some settings were messed up on Sprints end as to what phone you are using.

I had one of those, it did not come with picture mail, you had to hack in the picture mail from alltel for it to work right.
