Re: Can't Freeze Amazon MP3 with Titanium Backup

You should supply more details.

If you are using the 3.70 rom from the ZIP, I have had issues with the busybox not working correctly.

Take these steps, and then let me know if it helped or not. In the meantime, let us know what rom, busybox, etc that you are running.

1. Download BusyBox Installer, and Rom Manager from the Market.

2. Download the 1.18 version of Busybox with the BusyBox Installer

3. Run Rom Manager, and install the Clockwork Mod recovery (then install alternate recovery if you desire, I did), then do the option to FIX PERMISSIONS, then reboot when prompted. (Hold down the power button until you can choose POWER OFF, then turn it back on)

4. go back to Titanium and try again.

Uninstall what update.

I have latest BusyBox 1.1.8 , Rom Manager, Rooted (with unrevoked 3.21) all still on stock ROM.

I can freeze any app fine. In Fact, I think Amazon MP3 will freeze. But it is the only Icon that is Frozen that still shows up in all applications. There is something different about it. It so happens to be the first frozen app in the Ti Backup list.

why not just uninstall it? you can always reinstall it from a titanium backup if you need/want it back.

You mean Uninstall Hack using Titanium Backup?

If it's tripping over freezing it, it may trip over uninstalling it too.

there is something about removing with a "recovery exploit", however I just meant a standard uninstall. I was curious why you wanted to freeze it.

You can also delete the file with rootexplorer, from /system/app/ just make sure that you touch the button that says MOUNT R/W
