turning phone on (power button)

i cannot turn my phone on and off with the power button. it started happening just today. has this happen to anyone else. suggestions on what i should do

do you try to pull the battery to fix?

Is it on and you can't turn it off? Or is it off and you can't turn it on... Quite a difference in the advice you're going to receive.

Happened to my daughter's but the battery pull cleaned it up. She removed a clock widget and a lot of strsnge issues went away.

Hold phone in left hand then twirl right three times. Jump up and down 4 times while whistling and eating crackers then spit a lugi at an iphone. This will fix yur problem.

Seriously though, follow lkillen and karlE's advice. Usually a batt pull or deleting the last app installed fixes problems.

This will not work without picking your nose after whistling, but before eating the crackers.
