Unrooted, now phone won't find HTC update...

Hey guys, unrooted, boot says S-On...loaded PC36img to default back, now when I go to software updates, it keeps saying my phone is up to date and can't find the update. Help me update this thing! Thanks

I'm fairly new to android, but why wouldn't you have downloaded the stock rom and install that instead of the way you are doing it? if i'm not mistaken by flashing the stock rom will lock the phone, but i think you would still have to update radio's, pri and other things manually, here's a link to the stock rom xda-developers - View Single Post - [ROM] RUU SuperSonic EvO 3.70.651.1 OTA - Stock - Sense - Deodexed & Odexed Version

be nice to know what pc36img you used
but my guess is that it was version 3.70, that is the newest one
and s-on so you dont have root anymore
so your unrooted with newest ota thats what you wanted

lmfao thats sad i didn't even catch they he/she was probably on the latest rom and that's why they are not getting any updates. now just make sure that you are using the radio/pri/wimax/kernal that you want and things should be good to go.

No, I'm on 2.1 update-1 1. something...I downloaded the latest RUU, I renamed it update.zip and just going to do it through recovery...at least that's what I gather so far, so I hope I'm right.

EDIT: no go, I got E:signature verification failed Installation aborted.

you dont rename ruu's they run from your computer
you didnt notice its an .exe file and not a zip???

Whoa Karl..lol Ok, got it, download the 3.70 zip, and flashed from recovery.

if you show s-on the pc36img wont work cuz first nand is locked and second its not signed by HTC
youll have to use the ruu.exe file

and if you go to setting about fone
and you see

baseband
2.15.00.11.19

software #
3.70.651.1

pri version
1.90_003

there would be no reason to even use the ruu cuz you have the current build

You know, I was just stating that I have never seen anyone truly brick their phone to a point where it could not be brought back to life. You may well be on your way to being the first!
