Just updated to OMJ 4.4. Why didn't it wipe all my data?

Ok, I've been on OMJ ROMs from the start and I always wipe cache and Davlik.

I just went from 3.8 to 4.4 via bootloader.

Everything went fine.

When the phone rebooted all my settings were the same and I didn't have to restore any contacts, mms, wallpaper or anything. They were all intact. Before I had to use Ti Backup to restore all of that.

I know I got 4.4 though, because I have Swype now and some other junk like Hulu that I didn't have before.

Any ideas? Is this normal?

Yes...that'd normal. Had you have done a full wipe then you would have had to do the restoring.

So, should I have done a full wipe?

Not sure how to do that actually. I'm sure it's easy-peasy.

If your not having any issues I don't think you need to do a wipe. I would just let it be.

wiping cache and Davlik-cache will not erase your settings or apps installed to /data. to do so, you would need to choose the "wipe all data/factory reset" option (using amon ra recovery)

if you're not having any issues, I wouldn't worry about it.
