Photo gallery question

I hope someone can help.. I created a new folder inside the DCIM folder and put some photos there. When you go into the gallery app, the new folder doesnt show up. The gallery is showing folders not only in DCIM but other places on th SD card including the root of the SD card.

HOW do I get the new folder I created in the DCIM folder to show up in the gallery?

Re: Photo gallery question

Maybe power cycle the phone. I had this happen when I added sounds for text msg and other notifications. They didn't show up until I powered off and on a couple times... All of a sudden they were there!

Re: Photo gallery question

What I found out is that if I put it in the root of the SD card, then it shows up as an individual folder on the gallery.. BUT if I put it in the DCIM folder it just shows up as part of the photos and not as a different folder.. why is this? why do I need to put photo folders off the root??

i think cuz the dcmi its one folder. If u want pictures to b show in dif, folder u need to create one on the root on the sdcard to b shown on the gallery...

Re: Photo gallery question

I have two folders under videos and they show up as folders that I have to drill down through to open. But it depends on the app. If it is aggressive in looking for pics, it will find them and serialize them.

Im using SENSE and click on GALLERY and that is where is doesnt show folders if I have them under DCIM. It only works if the folders are under the root of the SD card...

its not gonna b there if u put in under dcmi folder. it the folder is hter it might b somewhere between the pixxx is like u put in a filder insede another folder.. better way to show a new folder on the gallery is to create it on the root of the sdcard.
