Constant unresponsive screen

Lately ever since the winter hit I noticed that my phone constantly has an unresponsive screen. Whether I'm trying to unlock it or typing a text I have to press power to take me back to the lock screen and unlock it again and everything is fine. No matter what rom I use, same bullshit. Any ideas??

Re: Constant unresponsive screen

One of the battery saver kernels that I used didn't play well with my screen. Try a different kernel.

ASOP on a Sensed phone will cause trouble.

In your case, as in any situation like this, I always encourage the user to get back to stock. You might even want to flash the stock RUU (rooting is simple these days)

The point is that you need to eliminate as many variables as possible. Get down to basics and if the problem still persists, hike to the Sprint store.

Re: Constant unresponsive screen

Cold weather also plays havoc with capacitive touch screens. Does it do it when your in your house or a warmer place? Could also be what the other two posters said.

Re: Constant unresponsive screen

It's happened on rooted stock and custom. It rarely happens at home, but it does sometimes. I know that cold can have an effect as well as sweat from one's finger but my old 2G iPod touch and new 4Gen iPod touch don't have this issues. I've only met 1 other Evo user with the same issues the rest of my friends never have it.
