Any way to improve my 4g signal?

I have Fresh installed, and am in the Denver area. Been getting 4g for months in spots, now that it is official I get it more. Just not at home. I go outside, and get it. The kicker is, that when I was on stock rom, I got a weak 4g signal inside. Especially if I was by a window. I tried it today, cause my cable internet was out. I figured I could sit my phone on a window sill, then get 4g and have decent speeds. No bueno.

So I am wondering, should I switch back to stock? Is there another radio that would improve reception? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

radios and kernels are a trial and error situation. what works for my EVO may not work for yours. I say backup and try try again!

4G is getting better but is still tempermental for me. Still crappy in buildings and when driving. I am curious how we match up against LTE?

LTE will be much much better. A 700MHz LTE signal propagates much better in building then a 2GHzish WiMax signal. It is the same as how the old 900MHz cordless phones penetrate so much better than the current 5GHz cordless phones. The higher in frequency you go the more line of site matters.

too bad. Hess put a lot of Eggs in the $G basket. If he loses this race to LTE, he will have surrendered his biggest claim to market share.

He even named a phone after the network

You could move closer to the 4G tower..just saying :P. From what I've heard Sprint/Clear is focusing on getting cities live with 4G first, then they will tweak (work on) making the signal better for the devices....I also heard that the 4G speed should be doubling down the road...thats from a former Clear (clearwire) employee.

Hess is hip. I read awhile back that Clearwire was switching to LTE. I don't know if that's still in the works.
